Prayer-powered living
The Bible provides a roadmap for how we should navigate life on Earth as children of God who live as reflections of Christ’s image. Because of this, it’s important to diligently study the Bible and how it instructs us to move through our day-to-day routine. Our community offers a diverse array of Bible study groups that are based on your current stage of life. These include:
- Project R.A.I.S.E. (Raising Awareness in Student Education)
- Tutorial Ministry
- Marriage Ministry
- Security Ministry
- “At the Table”, a book forum for the ladies of the church
- Singles Ministry
- Emergency Preparedness Ministry
Getting involved allows you to create social and spiritual circles who will support you on your walk and to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
Unique community ministries
At New Hope Granville Missionary Baptist Church, we believe in giving back to the community through service programs that provide tangible assistance and spiritual support. The church, under the leadership of Pastor James Isaac, III, purchased a 29-passenger bus and a 15-passenger van; renovated the sanctuary, fellowship hall, church office, and classrooms; and completed an expansion of the church foyer with the addition of restrooms.
Pastor Isaac also initiated the implementation of:
- Summer/Music Youth Camp
- Music and Arts Conference
- Family Awareness Month
- Senior Saints/Retiree Day
- Public Servants Recognition Day
Several ministries in the Oxford, NC, community were born under the leadership of Pastor Isaac.

We also partake in communion, the bread and wine, as an acknowledgment of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and the hope of eternal salvation.
